AHS’s First Bottle Kittens of 2024 Are Now Ready for Adoption

PHOENIX — The first batch of bottle-fed baby kittens of the year in the care of the Arizona Humane Society are now ready to go to their forever homes.

Nearly 800 kittens less than 8 weeks old have received care in AHS’s Bottle Baby ICU and kitten nursery over the past two months.

Given these numbers, this year we are on track to care for more orphaned kittens than we have seen in nearly a decade. The shelter plans to care for more than 2,000 kittens in 2024.

While some kittens are ready for adoption, others will be in the coming weeks, AHS said.

Kitten season in Arizona typically runs from mid-March to November.

Community members can help by avoiding “naps” and making sure the kittens actually need help before intervening.

Animal lovers can find other adoptable animals on the AHS website.

People wishing to foster animals can apply online.
