Roughstock bubbles are full of cowboys ready to enter the World Top 15

Roughstock bubbles are full of cowboys ready to enter the World Top 15

Some of the names that sit just outside the Top 15 in rough events are among the best in the game. With 100 rodeos in 100 days fast approaching, the Top 15 is about to change as the cowboys start to collect a lot of money during the Summer Run.

Four-time National Finals bareback rodeo rider Cole Reiner sits in 16th place just $200 behind youngster Nick Pelke. Lousiana’s Kade Sonnier qualified for his first NFR in 2023 after an incredible regular season earning victories in Cheyenne and Calgary. He is the No. 19 ranked bareback rider and is currently sidelined due to injury.

In the saddle, the eminent Canadian Dawson Hay ranks 17th in the world. A successful weekend in Miles City gave him new momentum at the perfect time. Kolby Wanchuk is another Canadian whose success we see on a regular basis. He has a slow winter but is gaining strength just in time for 100 rodeos in 100 days.

Two beginner bull riders ride the bubble. Cooper James and Jeter Lawrence are in the Top 20, but NFR qualifiers like Trey Holston are hot on their heels. Holston is another one slowly moving up the rankings with just $10,000 between the No. 11 and No. 20 ranked bull riders.

With Reno Rodeo and the kickoff of 100 Rodeos in 100 Days less than a month away, the bubble cowboys are poised to battle for their place in the Top 15 in the world.
