FIA files complaint against PASSCO agents for unfair distribution of Bardana

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) filed a case against PASSCO officers after Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi became aware of misappropriation of funds in the distribution of Bardana wheat (jute bags) , the 24NewsHD television channel reported on Saturday.

According to FIA Lahore Zone, the accused had caused a loss of Rs 1 billion to the national exchequer.

As per the Interior Minister’s orders, the FIR has registered a case of misappropriation of funds and irregularities in the distribution of gunny bags, FIA Director Sarfraz Virk said.

The case was filed against former general manager Field Zahoor Ahmad Ranjha, Bahwalnagar zonal head Jibran Iqbal and Burewala zonal head Rao Muhammad Akram.

Sarfraz Virk said that a training inquiry into the matter was initiated after the FIA ​​Lahore Zone registered the case. The FIA ​​will collect evidence from Passco centers regarding the unfair distribution of Bardana across the province, he added.
