YSR Congress cadres are trying to put on a brave face saying that the buzz around TDP’s victory is because the voters of the alliance are making themselves heard and the silent vote which will be majority will lead them to win .

But some political experts say that may not be the case.

“Due to the vendetta politics of the YSR Congress, some sections of the people, especially the beneficiaries, are remaining silent. This is because they do not want to take the risk of revealing their vote choice and harming the YSR Congress. They fear that their social programs will be cut by the Volunteers in case Jagan returns. The YSR Congress cannot say that the silent vote is entirely up to them,” they assert.

There is a high level of micromanagement in every house in Jagan’s government as he has appointed one volunteer for every fifty houses. Thus, vulnerable sections of society are reluctant to reveal their voting choices.

The ban on exit polls will be lifted on June 1 at 6 p.m. We will have an idea of the direction these elections will take.
