Arab Parliament calls on international community to pressure Israel to stop massacres in Gaza

CAIRO – May 27, 2024: The Arab Parliament (AP) on Monday condemned the horrific massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians in the Rafah refugee camps.

The Parliament affirmed that the occupation violated all international and legitimate laws, norms and resolutions calling for the immediate cessation of the aggression and the cessation of the military attack against the city of Rafah, in flagrant violation of all decisions, including the latest ones. of the International Court of Justice, which called for an end to the military assault on Rafah.

In a statement, the Arab Parliament stressed that the failure to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes and massacres against the Palestinian people, and the absence of deterrent measures against it, encourage it to continue its massacres and its destruction. The positions of the states supporting the occupation, mainly the United States, are the main reason why they continue to commit more crimes and massacres, including today’s massacre in Rafah, which left dozens of people dead. martyrs and wounded, including children and women.

The Arab Parliament called on the international community, the Security Council and human rights, humanitarian and international organizations to act immediately to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to put an end to these massacres, which it puts an end to the aggression against Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem and requires it to implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice and legitimate resolutions.

Parliament also called for the resumption of peace negotiations to reach solutions to end the war and genocide, as well as to put an end to the continuing and increasing bloodshed, day by day.
