Ledger Stax is now available: a message from Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier

Dear Ledger community,

Today marks a special day for Ledger. I’m excited to announce that shipping of our next generation device, Ledger Stax™, has begun to pre-order customers. The first pre-orders will ship in the coming weeks and new orders will be available worldwide in summer 2024. I will share more details at Bitcoin Nashville 2024 on July 26, so stay tuned.

Ledger Stax was designed by the godfather of the iPod Tony Fadell and is unprecedented in many ways. This is the first secure touch screen; This is the first time a touchscreen user interface has been driven by a secure element chip, which is crucial for cryptographic security. It is also the first curved E-Ink display ever built, the first display using organic semiconductor materials on plastic substrates rather than silicon materials on glass, and the only display manufactured at less than 100 degrees .

With our companion app Ledger Live, Ledger Stax is the most intuitive wallet for securing, owning and managing your digital value. Ledger Stax is also compatible with a wide range of apps that you can explore in the Discover section of Ledger Live. This is a major step towards digital property easily accessible to everyone, not just tech savvy people.

This first screen of its kind was much more difficult to mass produce than expected, and delivery of the Ledger Stax was therefore late. I want to thank all of our pre-order customers who have stayed with us for so long. I hope you love your Ledger Stax and the extras we’ve added to your box, and can’t wait to see how you customize your display.
