Staff in shock as youth bitten by snake takes with him to Belagavi hospital

A youth, who was bitten by a snake he had captured, shocked the staff of a hospital in Belagavi district on Tuesday when he took the reptile there with him for treatment himself.

According to sources, Shahid, a resident of Hunchanatti village in Belagavi taluk, captured the snake which had infiltrated his house.

As he released the snake on the outskirts of the village, it bit him. He then captured the snake again and took it with him when he went to Belagavi district hospital for treatment.

Hospital staff were surprised when the youngster arrived with the snake in a plastic box.

He told hospital staff that he did not know what species the snake was so he had brought it with him.

After the youngster was treated for a snake bite, he returned with the reptile.
