Male trespasser for entering women’s locker room returns to health club: Lyndhurst police blotter

LYNDHURST, Ohio–

Suspicious person: Cedar Road

On May 22, at 6:30 p.m., police were called to Esporta Fitness, 25145 Cedar Road in Legacy Village, where a man had returned who had previously been trespassed for entering the women’s locker room.

The man, 34, from Cleveland, was busy exercising when officers arrived. Gym management just wanted the man to leave, which he did without incident.

Suspicion: Mayfield Road

On May 26 at 5:35 p.m., a caller reported that a woman who had resigned earlier that day from her position as manager at Qdoba Mexican Eats, 5076 Mayfield Road, was seen on a surveillance camera searching the company safe and put something in his pocket. The caller saw the manager from a distance.

After receiving a description from the former manager, police found her outside the store at a bus stop. Officers asked the 26-year-old woman, from Cleveland, to stay where she was, but she walked away and refused to stop.

Officers eventually stopped the woman and spoke with her. The police report does not indicate why the woman was in the safe or what action may have been taken.

Neighborhood Issues: Sunview Road

At 5:30 p.m. on May 21, a Sunview Road resident called police to report that she was sitting on the porch of her home and her neighbor was watching her, making her feel uncomfortable.

The neighbor was informed of the complaint.

This follows an incident reported on May 21 at 11:50 a.m., in which another Sunview resident, a few doors down from the other complainant, called police to say she was mowing her lawn and her neighbor harassed her.

An officer spoke with the complainant and the neighbor, and the two agreed to stay away from each other.

Police reports do not specify whether the complaint calls involved the same resident.

Customer issue: Mayfield Road

On May 21, at 3:05 p.m., police were called to Shawrma Bros. Middle Eastern Restaurant, 5722 Mayfield Road, where a customer was refusing to leave the premises.

Lyndhurst police requested mutual aid from Mayfield Heights police. Before police arrived, the 46-year-old man, from Brooklyn, Ohio, left. His car was stopped on Mayfield Road. Police issued a warning for criminal trespass to the man.

Obstructing traffic: Golfway lane

At 10:20 p.m. on May 23, a caller informed dispatch that a motorist had been stopped on the road at Golfway Lane and Winchester Road.

Officers found the car stopped and determined the driver, a 24-year-old Akron man, appeared to be intoxicated.

The man was not intoxicated and was not charged.
