Branson Board of Aldermen Considers Elevating Branson’s Demand, Celebrates Moe Bandy

One of the items on the agenda for tonight’s Branson Board of Aldermen meeting is a request for additional grant funding for Elevate Branson through its Elevate Community Project.

According to information posted on the City of Branson website, this request dates back to 2021, when the city requested on behalf of Elevate Branson for funds to construct the project, with the total grant amounting to more than $1.9 million bucks. Once the infrastructure design was completed, the sole bidder for the project took home a total of just under $3.2 million. The request on tonight’s agenda would provide a budget to allow Elevate to seek more community block grants to continue the project. Tonight’s article comes three weeks after a special meeting in which Elevate Branson was denied letters of support for other projects due to concerns from some aldermen about the projects’ progress.

Also on tonight’s agenda, a celebration of county music star and longtime Branson artist Moe Bandy will be proclaimed today as Moe Bandy Day in honor of his contributions to the industry local entertainment.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Branson City Hall.
