‘So Help Me Todd’ Creator and Cast React to Series’ Cancellation

UPDATED with more reactions: So help me Todd The creator, cast and crew members responded to the news that the CBS drama series was canceled after two seasons.

In a post Friday on Instagram, series creator Scott Prendergast warmly thanked CBS for what “was the best professional experience of my life.”

“I took a story about me and my mother and hundreds of people came together to make something else out of it, something huge, something beautiful, something funny,” he said. he writes in part. “Thank you to everyone involved and to all our viewers. A million thanks will never be enough.

Series co-star Inga Schlingmann reposted the image of Prendergast’s post on her IG story, adding a heart and hands emoji.

Star Marcia Gay Harden thanked the show’s “fantastic team” for a behind-the-scenes group photo on her IG Stories.

Fellow co-lead Skylar Astin took over So help me Todd Season 2 makeup artist Jennifer Powell’s IG post in which she thanked the show’s cast, adding a heart-themed sticker.

“It was such an honor to work with this hard-working and loving team, our incredibly talented writers, our visionary directors, our dedicated performers, and my wonderful co-stars,” actor Tristen J. Winger wrote in his IG story, reminding fans that there are four more episodes of the series remaining. Its final is scheduled for May 16.

With Harden and Astin, in So help me ToddDespite their opposing personalities, a talented but directionless detective, who is the black sheep of his family, reluctantly agrees to work as an internal investigator for his overbearing mother, a successful lawyer, reeling from the recent dissolution of her marriage.

Madeline Wise, Winger, Schlingmann and Rosa Arredondo also performed.

Prendergast, Elizabeth Klaviter, who also served as showrunner, Dr. Phil McGraw, Stuart Gillard, Jay McGraw and Julia Eisenman served as executive producers. The series was produced by CBS Studios.
