Meet Rocky and Scout, the CVAS Animals of the Week

Meet Rocky and Scout, the CVAS pets of the week. These are just two of the amazing animals residing in area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets looking for forever homes. While Rocky and Scout would love to meet you, also check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption. Go to this Animal shelter link to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to explore the wonderful animals available for adoption at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a variety of reasons, needing a new home and a second chance. So if you’re looking for a new four-legged best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of these would make a great pet and a wonderful companion.

Adoptions are now by appointment only, and it has worked very well. Donors have also helped by providing supplies and money, which is much needed to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 for more information.

Rocky

Rocky was adopted several years ago and recently returned to the shelter due to a divorce. He is a 6 year old Pomeranian and husky mix, an active and playful boy. Rocky has a high prey drive, so a home without cats or small animals would be best. He loves going to play in the playground and loves getting all the attention he can! Rocky lived with another dog and did well. He was also around older children in his former home. Do you have the right place for Rocky? CVAS, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, kennel permit #2090

Scout

Scout is a 5 month old Angora and American mixed rabbit who is a super sweet guy. He loves being brushed and playing with his toys. Scout will need someone who can keep him cared for. He has been neutered since his arrival at the shelter. Could Scout be the bunny for you?
