Ghostbusters Digital Collectibles Offered During PlayStation Days of Play

PlayStation Stars is celebrating this year’s Days of Play with new campaigns and digital collectibles, including the beloved ghost hunters Slimer characters and a mischievous Mini-Puft!

Available now in the PlayStation Rewards Catalogue, the Slimer digital collectible is based on recent appearances in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empirepaying homage to the classic design from 1984. While not the prettiest, the gluttonous specter is dripping with charm and ectoplasm, ready to haunt your digital storefront!

As for campaigns and a slightly more adorable digital collectible, loyal Stars members will soon be able to trap their own Mini-Puft. This mound of confectionery will be available starting June 18. Unlocking it couldn’t be simpler: just launch any game on PS4 or PS5, and it’s yours.

Today’s update follows previous coverage of the annual PlayStation Days of Play, which included the announcement that PS VR2 Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord will be downloadable for free for Premium members from June 6. As part of the annual celebration, Rise of the Ghost Lord will be joined by five other VR games, including Walkabout Mini Golf, Synth Riders, Before Your Eyes and The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapters 1 and 2.

For what is available at the moment, ghost hunters fans can show their love for the franchise with a free avatar featuring Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord‘s Slimer, downloadable until June 29.

In Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, put on your Proton Pack and experience the thrills and pleasure of eliminating ghosts with your friends thanks to the power of PS VR2. Wield iconic equipment like the PKE Meter and Proton Wand to locate, detonate and trap ghosts in the ultimate fight against a terrifying new threat. Enhance your adventure with exciting DLC add-ons featuring beloved franchise favorites like Slimer and Dan Aykroyd reprising his role as Dr. Ray Stantz, plus new missions and character customization options inspired by the sequel on grand screen, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

Special thanks to Ghostbusters News reader Chris Bachofen for the information on today’s title.
