Brittany Mahomes Shares What She Did to Prepare Her Swimsuit for SI Photo Shoot

Brittany Mahomes is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her workout routine to prepare for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut.

Mahomes, who was named Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of 2024 in February, posted a video to Instagram showing off the fitness regimen that helped her prepare for the photoshoot with just a week’s notice.

“People have asked me a lot what I did at the gym to get my swimsuit ready,” she wrote in the caption. “Fun fact: I shot for @si_swimsuit on 1 week’s notice.”

She added: “I always preach that staying consistent in the gym and fueling my body well is what helps me be the best version of myself all year round, not just during swimsuit season ! »

In the caption, she also shared a “simple but effective leg day” workout for her fans, including single-leg deadlifts, dumbbell pause squats, a curtsy lunge pulse, and a back thrust. hip band.

Mahomes, who is an entrepreneur and the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, told the magazine in February that she never thought in her “wildest dreams that this would happen” and that she was “grateful, honored and so excited” for the opportunity.

“I am really very touched and still in disbelief,” she added. “As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who really only knew sports, never in a million years did I think I would be involved in (the SI swimsuit issue). I am so grateful for this opportunity.

Mahomes, co-owner of the Kansas City Current women’s soccer team and a former professional soccer player for UMF Afturelding in Iceland, said she was inspired by athletes who have been featured in Sports Illustrated in the past.

Mahomes participated in the photo shoot in Belize for the 60th edition of the swimsuit issue, which hit newsstands on May 17. Ahead of the issue’s release, the mom of two shared several snaps from the spread on her Instagram on May 14, donning various swimsuits for the occasion.
