What Caitlin Clark said

The former Iowa Hawkeye is challenged by the physicality of women’s professional basketball, and she recently expressed her frustration during a postgame conference. The guard thinks there are double standards.

“I think everyone is being physical with me,” said the 22-year-old. “They get away with things that other people probably don’t get away with,” she continued.

Caitlin added: “It’s difficult, but it’s just a fact. It’s a very physical game, and you’re going to have pressure, it’s professional basketball.

She accepted that the alleged behavior is exactly what she has to deal with. “Honestly, that’s how it is.” » declared the Indiana Fever player before adding: “I feel like I’m getting hammered.”

During a game against the Seattle Storm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, Caitlin and the guard Victoria Vivians apparently exchanged words after making contact. They stared before Clark was taken away by a teammate. The players both received technicians for the incident, which marked the third during the rookie season of her professional career. She has played nine matches so far.

After the game, the rookie reportedly told ESPN that Carter’s action was not a “basketball play,” according to the New York Post.

“Yeah, it’s just not a basketball game,” Caitlin Clark said. “But you know I have to get there, that’s what basketball is all about at this level. I thought we were very physical, we missed a few bunnies around the rim, so hopefully those will fall in the fourth.

Angel Reese’s Answer to Hardwood Roughness

As previously reported by The Shade Room, the Chi Barbie has also faced some tough games in the big leagues. Earlier this week, Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun made contact with Reese’s neck, causing her to take a hard fall. Thomas was ejected from the game for a flagrant foul.

The LSU graduate said she knew the game would be “difficult,” but she said, “This is what I’m built for.”

A reporter asked her if she thought Thomas was trying to send her a message because she was a rookie. Reese replied, “It’s not just because I’m a rookie. I’m a gamer. And I’m a basketball player. She claimed, “They don’t care if I’m a newbie.”

The No. 7 pick in the WNBA draft said: “I want them to come to me every day.” Angel added, “They’re not supposed to be nice to me or fold because I’m Angel Reese or because I’m a rookie.”

Although Caitlin Clark is apparently having trouble adjusting, according to CBS, she is on pace to become the first rookie to average 15 points, five assists and five rebounds per game.
