Semi-trailer hits several vehicles in front of Pleasant Beach Stop & Shop

A tractor-trailer struck several vehicles in front of the Stop & Shop on Route 35 South in Point Pleasant Beach Monday evening.

The truck also hit utility poles, snapping them in two, which tore down some power lines. A Jeep Wrangler rolled over and landed on top of the truck’s trailer.

No injuries were reported.

Crews were on scene to clean up liquids leaking from the truck. JCP&L was also on site to repair damaged utility poles.

Part of Richmond Avenue was closed for a time.
