Stormy Daniels breaks silence on Donald Trump conviction by slamming Michael Cohen’s false signing claims

STORMY Daniels has broken her silence on Donald Trump’s guilty verdict in his historic hush money case, blasting critics who say she lied in her testimony.

The adult movie The star did not mention Trump, 77, by name, but claimed her former lawyer Michael Cohen had something to do with a false signature on a statement denying her affair with the former president.

Trump was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records relating to payments he made to Daniels to prevent her from publicizing a brief sexual relationship the two had more than a decade ago.

Daniels testified that she and Trump had unprotected sex in a Lake Tahoe hotel room while he was married to then-pregnant Melania Trump.

However, several Trump supporters called out Daniels over an alleged statement she signed denying the affair took place.

“Stormy told me that Cohen forged her signature on her letter in which she denied sleeping with Trump,” read a tweet in response to Daniels.

“They are both liars. It is a reasonable doubt. Trump should be acquitted.”

However, Daniels retorted: “The problem with people with poor comprehension skills is that they go online enthusiastically like Doc and I have to disappoint him like that,” she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I didn’t tell you that Cohen forged my signature. I said I didn’t write it (I didn’t write it) and that I should ask @MichaelCohen212 who did it. C was released IN COURT that Keith Davidson wrote the letter at Cohen’s request. Read it again and maybe you will understand it. The only “reasonable doubt” here is your while reading SKILLS.”

Another person called Daniels “trash,” to which Daniels responded, “It’s better than being convicted.”

GUILT VERDICT

On May 30, Trump was found guilty of all counts of falsifying business records, making him the first former U.S. president to be convicted of a crime.

He lambasted the verdict and continued to maintain his innocence.

“It was a shame,” Trump told reporters outside the Manhattan courtroom.

“They didn’t allow us to change location. We were 5 or 6% in this neighborhood, in this area.

“It was a fake and shameful trial, but the real verdict will be given on November 5 by the people, and they know what happened here; everyone knows what happened here,” he said. -he added, referring to the upcoming presidential election.

“We didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a very innocent man and it doesn’t matter, I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our constitution.

“Our entire country is rigged right now. This was done by the Biden administration in an effort to harm and hurt a political opponent.”

What are Donald Trump’s next steps?

A New York jury found Donald Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records to hide money he paid adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.

He is the first former US president to be convicted of a crime, but remains the Republican front-runner in his bid for the White House against Joe Biden.

Trump’s sentencing date is scheduled for July 11, 2024, but his lawyers could try to push it back until after the November 5 presidential election, which is unlikely without good cause.

Trump, 77, is still allowed to speak to the press, travel out of state and continue his presidential campaign.

Nor does his guilty verdict automatically make him a convicted felon.

The charges against Trump are class E misdemeanors, the least serious category of New York law, with each count carrying a maximum sentence of four years in prison.

Trump could also pay fines and restitution as part of his sentence or face probation.

Judge Juan Merchan said he weighed several factors regarding Trump’s sentence, including his age and lack of criminal record. However, the former president’s actions during the trial could also play a role in the judge’s decision.

A guilty verdict does not prevent Trump from running for president.

The U.S. Constitution requires potential U.S. presidents to be:

  • U.S. citizens by birth
  • At least 35 years old
  • Have lived in the country for at least 14 years

Criminals are not barred from holding office.

Trump left immediately after the statement without answering any questions.

Minutes after the guilty verdict, the Trump campaign website featured a fundraising page claiming he was a “political prisoner.”

The page said: “I have just been convicted in a rigged political trial for a witch hunt: I DID NOTHING WRONG!

“They raided my house, arrested me, took my picture, AND NOW THEY CONVICTED ME!”

Trump’s sentencing is scheduled for July 11 at 10 a.m. EST.

PRESIDENT BIDEN EXPOSES HIMSELF

President Joe Biden’s campaign released a statement on the verdict saying no one is above law.

Donald Trump always wrongly believed that he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his personal gain”, we can read in the press release.

“But today’s verdict does not change the fact that the American people are facing a simple reality.

“There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: to the polls.

“Convicted offender or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.

“The threat Trump poses to our democracy has never been greater.

“A second Trump term means chaos, stripping Americans of their freedoms and fomenting political violence – and the American people will reject him in November.”
