Women’s Volleyball Announces Class of 2028

SHENECTADY, ​​NY – Head coach of women’s volleyball Annie Deloid announced the members of the Union College women’s volleyball class of 2028. The Garnet Chargers will welcome seven new team members for the 2024 season, with the group including four hitters, two setters and a libero/defensive specialist.

This year’s class is also one of the most geographically diverse groups in recent years, representing four states (Texas, Virginia, New Hampshire and Kentucky) as well as Puerto Rico.

“We are very pleased to welcome this year’s recruiting class to Union,” DeLoid said. “We have focused on a championship mindset with our returning athletes, and we know this new group will fit perfectly into the culture we are building. We look forward to a tremendous season!”

DeLoid and the Union volleyball team will begin the 2024 season on Aug. 30 at the Pacific Coast Classic and will make their 2024 home debut on Sept. 13 during the opening day of the Union/Russell Sage Crosstown Challenge.
