My game room looks so much better with these smart lights and they’re on sale right now

Earlier this year I reviewed the Nanoleaf Lines and Nanoleaf Shapes and found that I loved both of these smart lighting options. They’re modular, so I was able to find a design I liked before sticking them on the wall above my gaming monitor and TV. What I like is that they provide softer ambient lighting while still being very dynamic. Plus, I can control their effects and exact colors directly from the Nanoleaf app.

Customizable lighting you’ll love

One of the things I love most about Nanoleaf lines and shapes is that they are modular, meaning I was able to come up with a specific layout that works well for the rooms I placed them in. I placed the lines above my gaming monitor in a sleek, futuristic triangular design. The included control panel allows me to quickly turn on the lights with just the press of a button. There’s even a shuffle button to quickly access different color options and effects.

Alternatively, I can open the Nanoleaf app and choose the exact colors and effects I want the lines to convey. If I happen to jam along to my music, I like to turn on a responsive effect and watch the colors dance to the beat of my favorite tunes.

Since my playroom already had the Nanoleaf lines in it, I decided to place my nine Nanoleaf shapes on my TV in my living room. I specifically have the limited edition Ultra Black Hexagons, which are completely black when turned off but convey bright colors when turned on. This way you can achieve a more varied range of effects with these black panels than with white ones.

I wanted my Nanoleaf Shapes to frame my OLED TV, so I found a design that complemented this idea. Once the layout was decided, all I had to do was use the included Command Hook adhesive to apply each panel to the wall one by one. It didn’t take that long and I now have a fun wall light that can be turned on at parties or just when I’m playing my favorite Xbox games. If I don’t feel like pulling out my phone to change the effects, I can press the random button on the lowest panel and it will choose a color theme and effect to display instantly.
