MisterWives announces US tour and duets with Charlotte Sands: watch

The MisterWives album Nosebleeds has a second life! On Friday, the band released a reimagined, rockier version of the album’s track “Other Side,” featuring Charlotte Sands. They’re also celebrating the arrival of new music by announcing their fall Just For One Night tour.

Singer Mandy Lee describes “Other Side” as a song about dealing with the “unhealthy side effects” of comparison and overcoming them to experience gratitude. “That’s exactly how we feel now,” she said. The song should be featured on Nosebleeds: Againwhich will hear the band rework each song from the album with a new guest.

“From the studio to the live broadcast, every iteration of ‘Other Side’ has been an unfiltered pleasure and the honor of having Charlotte in the song has propelled it to new heights,” adds Lee of his collaboration with Sands. “Her talent, heart and powerful voice are as impressive as her pioneering career as an independent artist, and sharing the stage with her has been a true masterclass.” Of the track’s multiple meanings, Lee continues: “Beneath the comparison and its unhealthy side effects, the spirit of ‘Other Side’ is gratitude, and that’s exactly what we feel now.”

For her part, Sands says she’s always been a “huge fan” of the indie pop band “Reflections” and was honored to join Lee on the song. “Watching her energy on stage really makes me a better performer. They have so much sonic momentum and continue to make the best music of their career, which they then follow up with even better music,” Sands says. “I am always impressed and incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work with them.”

After dropping the Bis version of their album with new collaborations, the group will hit the road with Joan opening on all dates and several other guests. The group will make stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Boston and Orlando.
