Verdict on the new Celtic home jersey; An essential thing to consider

Celtic fans, the wait is over. The new 2024/25 home jersey, designed by Adidas, has arrived and promises to be a hit on and off the pitch. With the official release just days away, we had the chance to take an in-depth look at it and give you a sneak peek at what to expect.

The new jersey features Adidas’ advanced AEROREADY technology, ensuring you stay comfortable whether you’re playing, cheering from the stands or representing your love for Celtic around town.

Visually, this season’s shirt is a marked improvement over last year’s somewhat psychedelic design. The Hoops 2023/24 jersey sparked mixed reactions with its bold and chaotic pattern, which some fans said was too far from the traditional look. This year, Adidas reined it in by delivering a classic design that honors the club’s heritage while incorporating modern elements.

If you have pre-ordered the shirt it will come in a special box with a Celtic Park graphic inside.

The matching shorts feature stylish side details that create a seamless transition from shirt to shorts, giving the entire kit a cohesive and refined look. To complete the ensemble, the Adidas x Celtic branded white and green socks are a must-have, completing what is a stylish and unified kit.

However, it is important to note that this year’s shirt size is quite fitted. If you found last season’s Lisbon shirt with the white logo to be comfortable, you may want to consider sizing up for this new version. The new shirts run a bit smaller, so going a size up will likely provide a more comfortable fit, especially if you prefer a looser feel.

Shirts are priced at £70 for adults, £55 for juniors, a baby kit is £50 while a baby kit without socks is £40. Prices which are not comparable to those of other clubs in the United Kingdom. This is a significant expense for many families.

Overall, this kit is a solid effort from Adidas, and it could well be their final home shirt design for Celtic, with their current contract set to expire next summer. The 2024/25 Home Kit combines modern elements with a classic design, allowing you to show your support in style and comfort. The jersey was officially released on Tuesday.
