Agents shut down illegal gambling hall near Houston | Upper Gulf Coast

Houston, TX – Investigators with Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigation Division have busted an illegal gambling operation in Houston.

The establishment, located in the 11500 block of Veterans Memorial Dr., engaged in illegal gaming activities following an undercover investigation. A search warrant was executed resulting in the seizure of over $8,000 in suspected gaming proceeds, numerous illegal gaming devices and materials supporting illegal gaming.

Criminal charges were filed against an employee, Jesus Eduarto Gudino, for operating a gambling venue. Officer Herman highlighted the risks posed by such establishments, stating: “Illegal gambling establishments attract a wide variety of criminal activities, thereby putting our community at risk. »
