Funeral prayers of 7 security personnel offered in Bannu

The funeral prayer of seven security personnel, including Captain Faraz Ilyas, who embraced martyrdom following an improvised explosive device blast on their vehicle in Lakki Marwat yesterday, was offered in Bannu.

Corps Commander Peshawar, officers, jawans and a large number of people attended the funeral prayer.

Later, the bodies of the martyrs were sent to their native areas for burial with full military honors.

The ISPR asserts that the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism and the sacrifices of brave martyrs strengthen this resolve.
