In case you haven’t noticed, Billie Eilish launches into the promotion of his new album Hit Me Hard And Soft.

After topping the UK charts with her latest album last month, Billie has recently appeared on numerous UK shows to help get her new album out to as many people as possible.

That’s what brought her to the door of Capital, where she and breakfast show host Jordan North wasted no time in familiarizing themselves with their favorite British slang and customs.

Jordan began by teaching the Bad Guy singer about the joys of the term “gobshite,” before moving on to the majesty that is a chip butty.

Unfortunately for him, his northern tones left Billie struggling to understand exactly what he was talking about, as you can see for yourself in the clip below:

Since it went live yesterday, we’ve rewatched the video of Billie trying to understand the idea (and pronunciation) of a chip butty at least a dozen times – and we’re clearly not the only ones, because it is already exploited. up 1.3 million views on X.

It also garnered a wide range of reactions, from the delighted to the truly baffled:

Billie took an unusual approach with Hit Me Hard And Soft, choosing not to release any singles or music videos until after the album’s release.

It’s a risk that has certainly paid off, as the much-discussed album Lunch peaked at number two in the UK, while another track, Birds Of A Feather, is currently at number five.
