The draft declaration only includes three of the ten points of the peace formula proposed by Ukraine. These include the safety of nuclear power plants, food safety, as well as the release of all prisoners and the return of children kidnapped by Russia, NHK reported.

However, the document does not address demands to withdraw Russian forces or restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity, journalists said.

Ukraine’s demands for the withdrawal of Russian troops and other provisions were excluded from the draft declaration “taking into account the positions of some fast-growing Asian and Middle Eastern countries that maintain ties with Russia », indicated diplomatic sources.

The draft joint declaration also stipulates that all parties, including Russia, must engage in discussions to achieve peace, NHK reported.
