Clap Studio Fuses the Raw and the Refined at Alohas Flagship

Sparking an artful dialogue between the robust and the refined, ALOHAS’ first flagship product store opens in Spainwith interiors of Studio Clap. Located on the emblematic street of Rambla Catalunya, in the heart of Barcelonathis 100 square meter space embodies both the history of the fashion brand, stemming from its origins in Hawaii, and its new, bolder visual identity.

The studio moves away from the beach paradise aesthetic commonly associated with Hawaii and focuses on the rugged, brutalist landscape of the archipelagos. The design evokes volcanic landscapes, particularly cavernous lava tubes, with rugged surfaces and lighting. “The surface of a lava river, over time, cools and hardens, creating underground rivers which, after eruption, transform into magical-looking tunnels. This geological concept was the cornerstone of our design,” notes Àngela Montagud, director of Clap Studio.

ALOHAS takes a decisive step towards offline commerce after conquering the digital world with its first physical store, enclosing its essence in a space that invites customers to explore a decidedly immersive shopping experience. Clap Studio The flagship store concept unfolds like a volcanic cave, an environment that combines the brutality of nature with the sophistication of design.

The metal furniture, with its pointed and angular geometries, infuses a refined dimension while imitating the ferocity of lava, creating a contrast with the serene atmosphere of the store. Oversized ceiling lights appear on the ceiling, symbolic of the volcanic openings that, over time, form in the roofs of these lava tubes, reconnecting them to their surroundings.
