A New York man was caught transporting “illegal aliens” for a large sum of money.

Officials with the Northern District Court of New York announced that a Brooklyn man has been convicted of “illegal transportation of aliens.”

Ydenis Adames-Ramos, 36, a native of the Dominican Republic living in Brooklyn, New York, was found guilty following a three-day jury trial.

On March 11, 2023, Adames-Ramos drove from his home in Brooklyn to Chateaugay, New York.

There, he arrested three people who had entered the United States “illegally,” officials said.

“He then transported these illegal aliens to the Chateaugay, New York area shortly before being arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol,” the Northern District of New York said in a statement.
