Prince Harry has revealed Prince William’s shocking three-word response to his call for peace.

The Duke of Sussex has given his views on the extraordinary fallout with his family – and what happened when he extended an olive branch to his big brother. Instead of the sympathy he had hoped for, Harry said his brother’s three words to him were quite the opposite. William said to him: “You’re gone, Harold,” Harry wrote in his memoir Spare.

Harry, stunned, replied: “Yeah – and you know why.” William replied, “I don’t.” Harry explained in an excerpt from his book: “My beloved brother, my sworn enemy, how did this happen? » He continued: “I felt extremely tired. I wanted to go home and I realized what a complicated concept home had become.”

“Or maybe it always was. I pointed to the gardens, the city beyond, the nation, and said, ‘Willy, this was supposed to be our home. We were going to live here for the rest of our lives.’ The brothers have yet to bridge their divide since Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Harry remembered his reaction to his conversation with his brother. He said: “I leaned back. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It was one thing to disagree about who was at fault or how things could have been different, but for him to pretend that he was completely ignorant of the reasons why I was wrong to flee the land of my birth – the land I had fought for and was prepared to die for – my motherland?

“That heavy sentence. To pretend to know nothing about why my wife and I made the drastic decision to pick up our child and run like hell, leaving everything behind: the house, the friends, the furniture? Really ?”
