Stunned Taylor Swift falls silent as Anfield crowd erupts

Anfield may not host a Liverpool game tonight, but Taylor Swift’s fans are making sure the iconic stadium is filled with its usual electric atmosphere.

The global pop sensation took to the stage at the Reds on Thursday night for the first of three performances at L4 Stadium. Despite her record-breaking Eras world tour, Taylor admitted she was taken aback by the warm reception from the Liverpool crowd.

During her performance, Taylor stopped to remove her headphones to fully absorb the cheers from her adoring fans. The overwhelming support visibly stunned her as she gasped in response to the roaring crowd.

With a hand over her heart, she smiled and shook her head in disbelief, standing up with emotion as the crowd’s cheers grew even louder.

At the start of her first show, Taylor said: “Hello Liverpool, you’ve just left and you’ve made me feel absolutely amazing.”

Taylor pointed to each section of the crowd and received more and more cheers before continuing to perform the first song. She said: “I’m not going to lie.
