Free Car Seat Inspections Will Be Offered in Chemung County

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Free car seat inspections will take place at an event later this month in Chemung County, as announced by the Governor’s Highway Safety Committee.

Free inspections will take place on Sunday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sam’s Club in Elmira. The event is held as part of a year-round safety initiative involving state and local law enforcement agencies in partnership with various community safety partners.

During the event, certified child safety technicians will be available to teach parents and guardians how to properly choose and install the appropriate seat for their child based on their child’s age and size, as well as the type of vehicle they are driving. he drives.
