I can’t stop watching Whiskey Myers’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” take out Tears For Fears during sound check

I can’t stop watching Whiskey Myers’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” take out Tears For Fears during sound check

It has consumed me in such an unhealthy way over the last 12 hours.

Myers Whiskey just headlined the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, which is always a rockin’ show. Let’s say you didn’t get to experience the magic of Whiskey Myers at Red Rocks (I’m also in that group).

In this case, you can feel an extract of their electrical devices through video footage which is always displayed from the sets headlining the venue nestled in the mountains.

Before rocking the packed house, the southern rock band from East Texas had fun changing the pace during the sound check of Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World.”

With Tony Kent taking the lead for the first keyboard stroke, the rest of the band joins in, launching the 80s classic. Released in 1985, the song was a #1 hit for Tears For Fears, a sample from their second studio album. Songs from the Big Chair:

“Welcome to your life
There’s no going back
Even while we sleep
We will find you

Act on your best behavior
Turn your back on Mother Nature
Everyone wants to rule the world…”

The only thought that has been on my mind since watching this video is that I need a studio edit of this iconic song. A little Texas accent on a Tears for Fears classic would be really good for the soul.

And you must hear the original:

Before this run at Red Rocks, a social media user posted a video of her playing the opening to “Broken Window Serenade” while on the plane, and since watching those two videos, this is how I will prepare for any other Whiskey Myers show.
