Hugh’s Room Live | Pulsations: The international concert for the Paris 24 Cultural Olympiad

An unusual – and FREE – opportunity to attend a concert broadcast live as part of the Paris 24 Cultural Olympiad.

Hugh’s Room Live, the legendary concert venue, has been selected to represent Canada in Pulsations which brings together musicians from 24 countries around the world to celebrate the Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad and International Music Day. Part of a fast-paced relay race starting in New Zealand and spanning Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe, this live-streamed musical extravaganza features free public concerts with a live-streaming segment of 10 minutes for each participating nation.

Intended to symbolize the passing of the Olympic flame from nation to nation, the concert/relay will feature various international artists in a four-hour live broadcast.

The 10-minute concert series broadcast live on June 21 (Pulsations 2024 on Vimeo.com) is broadcast from country to country, with participation from 24 countries.

Hugh’s Room hired Quebec native duo Twin Flames to represent Canada at this event. June 21, the summer solstice, is also National Indigenous Peoples Day.

The Twin Flames portion of the live stream runs from 11:00 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., but the in-person concert continues live at Hugh’s Room Live for another hour, until 12:15 p.m. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

There is no charge to attend the concert.
