Woman warns ‘someone is living in her house’ after discovering creepy hidden room in her closet

People are flocking to social media in horror after a woman revealed what was in a “secret room” she discovered in a cupboard in her home.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of a secret room in a closet is the magical, yet slightly terrifying, world of Narnia in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

However, one Reddit user’s discovery was just as scary, but for the wrong reasons. Be prepared to immediately go check the backs of all the cabinets in your house.

User u/foundyourforever took to the Reddit thread r/Weird last year to share footage of his discovery of a “door” located in his sister’s closet.

She explained in the comments: “This ‘door’ is in my sister’s closet. She hadn’t been able to open it until today and just assumed it was a normal closet .”

The video shows a woman bending down to open a small, very hidden door against the wall of a closet. The little hatch opens and well, as soon as the user and their brother open it, let’s just say they probably wish they hadn’t.

The footage reveals the door opening into a locker that looks – well – rather lived in. There is a mattress on the floor and a bag on top of blankets and quilts and even what looks like a letter.

The user claims that, according to her sisters, the bag contained “a few cans of non-alcoholic beer, a tampon, sanitary napkins, a toothbrush and a notepad with a single page written on it.”

“There were also… adult items… in the room. My sister said she also saw ‘medicine’ bottles behind the wall, but she didn’t investigate further,” adds -she.

She adds: “We’ve only lived in this house for about a week and a half maybe? It was clearly sitting empty for a while before we moved in, but according to them, every item in this room looks extremely old , like in the 70s-80s, so I hope the cursed activities that happened in the secret room happened decades ago!

“(…) No idea how they put the mattress in there. I’m currently guessing they folded it hot dog style and just stuffed it in there? I I can test this theory when we try to release it, lol.”

The user’s “current hypothesis” is that the secret closet was “a teenager’s hiding place for his possessions and illicit acts.”

They added: “Personally I don’t believe this is a squatter, and that it was probably done by the previous owner.”

However, other Reddit users have other spicy theories that they weren’t shy about sharing.

“Yeah, that’s some kidnapped for human trafficking type of shit,” u/ObscureBooms wrote.

U/alucardarkness commented: “No, someone was definitely leaving there.”

U/rovert1994 replied: “Or he still exists and has a secret way of getting in and out of the house…perhaps through the walls.”

However, another user u/Specialist_Income_31 said: “Harry Potter, most likely.”

And another u/moxeto resolved: “Airbnb for $300 a week. »
