Highasakite at the picnic in the park

It reveals why Silent Treatment is undoubtedly one of the best releases in Norwegian music history.

And why Highasakite, despite all this turmoil, still remains one of the best bands in Norway. Ten years ago, it was The silent treatment we are free, and as Ingrid Helene Håvik says, that’s why we are here right now to remind you that the album means a lot to them and to us. The record that broke the record was what made all of Norway open its ears to what was currently a quintet.

There are only two left, but Trond Bersu and Ingrid Helene Håvik show that Highasakite is still alive and could still create the powerful live performance experiences they are known for. Without introduction, they immediately started with “Lovers, where do you reside”. I rarely saw that the competition talk, late in the evening, stopped completely and Håvik’s ethereal voices could fill the Sofienbergsparken in silence. This speaks volumes about the respect that Highasakite has earned and deserves.

Plus, they travel everywhere The silent treatment from A to Z, without pause, and everything really clicks. While some concertgoers may have been there specifically to hear the album’s hits, most people watch the live performance, even if they aren’t familiar with all of the songs. This could be attributed to Håvik’s powerful stage presence, which captures everyone in the audience and commands our attention on stage. He probably always delivers like that, but he and the other guys seemed to be in great form tonight.

After “Science and Blood Test”, Highasakite thanks him. They promised to drive The silent treatment of their fullness, they habitually did so. And it is obvious that the ring foxes do not want to pull the legend card and organize the “best” concert, but to be able to use the full size of the event.

People still seemed shocked as they left the stage just after 50 minutes, and many in the audience seemed a little questionable. Highasakite was nevertheless able to perform several hit songs on stage. And after all, they do.

They clashed with “Mother,” who bought a beautiful Mari Boine cover yesterday. It was intense at the time, but hearing Håvik click is true magic. An electropop masterclass follows. “God Forsake Me” also sends shivers down the spine, and I think there were several people in the park who shed a little bit of tears. After “I Can Be Forgiven”, “Someone Will Find It”, “The Golden Ticket” and finally the launched version of “Samurai Sword” only with Håvik and Øystein Moen, they will properly burst into applause while “Rocketman” from Elton John calls them. A strong finish For an intense day, the Piknik i Parken bookers deserve a well-deserved congratulations.
