OSAGE COUNTY – Law enforcement is investigating a suspect for drug allegations.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on June 12, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 75 for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells. During the check, illegal narcotics were located.

The driver of the vehicle, James R. Wright, 59, of Topeka, was arrested and transported to the Osage County Jail on the requested charges, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia , driving with suspended license, illegal registration and for No insurance
