Be inspired by Prophet Ibrahim’s incredible sacrifice and obedience to God – Bawumia to Muslims

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has wished Muslims well as they celebrated Eid-ul-Adha. In his message to his colleague Muslim, the Vice President urged them to remember the reason for the festival.

He asked them to remain inspired by the incredible sacrifice and obedience to God of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).

He told them to remember his act of selflessness and sacrifice in caring for each other and sacrificing themselves for good causes for the betterment of humanity.

Eid-ul-Adha is an important Islamic celebration that commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering devotion to Allah, as demonstrated by his willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. In a merciful twist, Allah intervened just before the sacrifice, replacing Ismail with a ram.

This heavenly directive tested Prophet Ibrahim’s commitment to Allah, as well as his unwavering determination to carry out his plan. Accordingly, Eid ul-Adha is rightly considered the festival of sacrifice.
