Fogo de Chão announces opening date for Bridgewater NJ restaurant

Premium steaks and valet parking are coming to Bridgewater Commons next week.

Fogo de Chão announced on its website that its third location in the New Jersey mall will open on June 24. The Brazilian steakhouse restaurant chain applied for a liquor license transfer in January 2023 and appeared before the Bridgewater Planning Board in March 2023.

The steakhouse is known for its “churrasco experience,” in which guests are served different cuts of meat throughout their meal, ranging from filet mignon to bacon-wrapped chicken and steak.

The steakhouse is located across the street from Uncle Julio’s and the Cheesecake Factory. The space measures 8,372 square feet, with an outdoor patio and entrances from both inside and outside the mall. According to the location’s website, in-person and valet parking are available daily.

“We are thrilled that Bridgewater Commons continues to reinvent the dining and beverage experience in the mall,” Troy Fischer, senior general manager of Bridgewater Commons, told MyCentralJersey.com.

Founded in 1979 in southern Brazil, Fogo de Chão is an authentic southern Brazilian steakhouse, or churrascaria. The chain expanded to the United States in 1997.

The Garden State chain’s other locations are at Garden State Plaza in Paramus and Willowbrook Mall in Wayne.
