Reward offered for information on Gaffney arson

The Gaffney Fire Department is offering a reward for information on the June 6 arson.

GAFFNEY, SC (WSPA) – The Gaffney Fire Department is offering a reward for an arson incident that occurred on June 6th.

On June 6, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Gaffney firefighters responded to a fire at 201 Holland Street.


Officers believe it was arson.

Investigators are partnering with Crime Stoppers of Cherokee County to find the person(s) responsible, offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for this fire.

“We have received a few leads so far; however, we feel that more and more people have more information and are just reluctant to come forward,” said Fire Marshal Billy Bishop. “Crimes like arson put countless lives at risk and result in millions of dollars in property damage each year across the country, and those responsible must be held accountable. »
