Gwyneth Paltrow writes message to Kate Middleton after public appearance

Gwyneth Paltrow has shown her support for the Princess of Wales.

On Saturday June 15, Kate Middleton attended the Trooping the Color ceremony alongside her three children. It was her first public appearance since revealing her cancer diagnosis in March.

To celebrate King Charles III’s birthday, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account shared various photos of the royal family. “A memorable day at the King’s Birthday Parade. Irish Guards flying their colors to the sight of so many faces on the mall, thank you for making this a day to remember,” reads the caption of the post.

Paltrow decided to leave a supportive comment for the Princess of Wales on the post, writing, “So happy to see you so happy and healthy.”

Kate has been receiving treatment for an unknown type of cancer since February, after it was discovered following abdominal surgery.

Before the event, the Royal Dean wrote a letter to the Irish Guards regiment, in which she explained that she would not be able to give the salute during the Colonel’s Review – the final rehearsal of the Trooping the Color parade.

The princess wrote: “I wanted to write to let you know how proud I am of the whole regiment in the run-up to the Colonel’s Review and Trooping the Color.

“I appreciate that everyone who wears the colors this year has been training for months and putting in many hours to ensure their uniforms and drills are impeccable.

“Being your colonel remains an honor, and I am truly sorry that I will not be able to salute you at this year’s colonels’ review. Please convey my apologies to the entire regiment. I hope to be able to represent you again very soon.

“Please send best wishes and good luck to everyone involved. »

However, she later confirmed in a statement that she would attend the event, even though she has not completed her chemotherapy treatment. The statement was also used to express gratitude for all the well wishes she has received since announcing her diagnosis.

“It really made all the difference to William and I and helped us both get through some of the most difficult times,” she said. “I’m making good progress, but as anyone who goes through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days.

“In these bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to resting your body. But on good days, when we feel stronger, we want to make the most of well-being.

She also mentioned that, despite her goal of participating in “a few” royal engagements over the summer, she’s not “out of the woods yet” and will be mindful of how much effort her body can handle.

“I’m learning to be patient, especially in the face of uncertainty,” she added. “Take each day as it comes, listen to my body and allow myself to take this much-needed time to heal.”

“Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”
