Travelers Championship: Best PGA TOUR golf bets, predictions and odds at DraftKings Sportsbook

The PGA TOUR heads to Connecticut this week for the Travelers Championship. TPC River Highlands will host and measure a 6,835-yard par 70 with bentgrass greens.

This is a Signature event, so there will be a field of 71 players with no cuts. Rory McIlroy is the skilled golfer who will not be making the trip, as he has decided to take some time off before defending his title at the Scottish Open in a few weeks.

Below I’ve outlined my two favorite bets of the week.

Finau has been quietly on a tear, finishing T3 last week at the US Open, on the heels of a T8 at the Memorial. He gained 7.46 strokes with his irons at Pinehurst, which ranked No. 1 in the field, while also gaining 13.42 strokes from tee to green, putting him second behind Rory McIlroy and ahead of winner Bryson DeChambeau .

After largely struggling last season, Finau has really found his game in 2024, and it feels like he’s poised to win again. A shorter course like TPC River Highlands doesn’t sound like the track the Utah native would appear to compete on, considering his four wins have come in Mexico, Houston, Detroit and Minnesota – all of which are longer routes. However, he has some solid finishes with the Voyageurs during his career. Dating back to 2015, Finau has three top-25s and one T13 in eight starts at TPCRH.

His chances this week also got a little easier with McIlroy withdrawing, but even with that we’re getting a very strong number on a red-hot golfer who has already won multiple times on the PGA TOUR. Sign me up.

This number is incredibly high for a player of An’s caliber in such a small field. I understand he’s not in the best shape nor does he have a stellar history at TPC River Highlands, but come on. This is a man who has already posted five top-10s and four top-22 finishes in 16 starts in 2024.

A few bad rounds here and there have really skewed his Strokes Gained numbers, but he still ranks 12th in that area in SG: Ball-Striking and 16th in SG: Tee-to-Green over his last 48 rounds. An has also had plenty of failures, having finished second at the Sony Open in January, while finishing a solo third at Wells Fargo last month.

We know one thing: An is going to make birdies. Only Scottie Scheffler has done more in 2024 among golfers in this field. With An’s great ability to go nuclear at any turn, he kicks things off, and with no fear of him missing the cut this week, it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see him in contention on Sunday night, this which is really all you can ask for. a golfer who is 75/1.
