Florida State 4-star QB Tramell Jones ready to compete with the best in Elite 11 final

State of Florida will once again be represented at Elite 11 Finalsthis time with the commitment of four-star quarterback from the Jacksonville Mandarin Tramell Jones. The 6-foot signal-caller understands the importance of the upcoming event in Los Angeles and is excited to make his mark in the coming days.

“It’s good. For it to be the greatest quarterback fraternity there is, the number of quarterbacks they’ve had succeed at the next level – college and the NFL,” Jones told Warchant. “Being able to experience the coaching and going through the drills being able to compete with other top quarterbacks across the country, I just thank God that I was able to go through that process.

Jones is ready to showcase his talent against a stacked group of competitors. He is also ready to soak up all the knowledge he is about to receive and build relationships with those present.

“Gathering all the information, being able to compete,” Jones said of what he’s looking forward to most this week. “I think that’s what’s great about having all the other quarterbacks here, being able to compete with all the other peers that you have. Then the high-level coach, being able to accept that criticism, having all the meetings and getting that coaching on the pitch, I think that’s good.

Jones is ‘locked in’ with FSU

Before competing in Los Angeles this week, Jones received some advice from Florida State’s head coach. Mike Norvell. The Seminoles skipper believes in FSU’s commitment and knows what he is capable of producing on the field.

“I talked to (Norvell), he said ‘it’s going to be me.’ Be me and everything will be fine. That’s pretty much the message he gave me: Show the world who you are,” Jones said.

Jones’ growing relationship with QBs coach Norvell Tony Tokarz and the entire Florida State staff is part of what keeps him strong in his commitment to the state program. That, plus the beloved tradition that Jones looks forward to being a part of in due time.

“The tradition. The tradition and the coaching staff. Coach Norvell and coach Tokarz are the real coaches I know,” Jones said. “The relationship we have together, I think, is the best relationship I I’ve had with any coach, at any level. They’ve been watching me since I was a freshman, and then they keep that communication going as well.

The No. 322 overall prospect and No. 26 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to On3 industry rankings, Jones remains strong with FSU.

“I feel good about it. I’m locked up with the Noles.
