Man caught on camera robbing Catawba County store

CATAWBA COUNTY, NC (WBTV) – Deputies are working to find a man who broke into and robbed a gas station convenience store in Catawba County this week.

THE Catawba County Sheriff’s Office said the theft happened early Monday morning at the Propst Citgo station on Section House Road.

Officers said the suspect entered the store by throwing a rock through the glass doors. Once inside, he stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise before quickly fleeing in the direction of Conover.

He wore a black hoodie with a white short-sleeved t-shirt underneath, a black mask, white gloves, cargo shorts, and white sneakers.

The sheriff’s office shared video of the robbery in hopes of identifying the man.
