Brandy Stars in New Thriller ‘The Front Room’: Watch the Trailer

Brandy will star in the upcoming A24-produced thriller, The front roomas indicated previously.

The film will be released in theaters nationwide on September 6, as summer begins to wind down. A24 has released the first trailer for the film, which can be viewed below.

According to the logline, “Everything goes to hell for newly pregnant Belinda (Brandy) after her stepmother (Kathryn Hunter) moves in. As the evil guest tries to get her claws on the child, Belinda has to draw the line somewhere…”

The front roomdirected by fraternal duo Max and Sam Eggers, is an adaptation of a short story from the novel by British author Susan Hill The travel bag: and other ghostly stories.

Brandy’s involvement in the film, also starring Andrew Burnap and Neal Huff, was first announced in 2022.

The front room isn’t Brandy’s only acting role this year. The first black Cinderella also stars in the Disney musical film, Descendants: The Rise of Red, where she will reprise her role as princess. The film premieres on Disney+ on July 12.

In musical news, Brandy and Monica will join Ariana Grande on her “The Boy Is Mine (Remix)”, released Friday June 21. Both icons previously appeared in Grande’s music video.
