Solid wood furniture in kit form: Mantra Inspired presents a new collection of tables

NORFOLK, Va. – Virginia-based Amish solid wood furniture maker Mantra Inspired has introduced its new collection of flat-packed Unity tables. The four-piece line is made from walnut, white oak, cherry or maple.

Features include gentle curves and designs meant to highlight the beauty of the wood.

“Unity’s design responded to our challenge of reducing the carbon costs of transportation to the environment through flat-pack capability, ease of assembly and disassembly, and reuse options and finishing,” the company said in a statement. “The base is two pieces that fit together easily, and the top is simply bolted to the base. This creates an easy installation solution, which reduces costs for the end user.

Each of the four tables is offered in a hardwood of your choice. The roundtable, as an example, sees a maple retail for $2,103, a walnut for $3,315, a white oak for $2,992, and a cherry for $1,881. Other tables include square, coffee and side models.

Manta sells primarily to designers. The company is working on a fast-ship website feature, but the tables are currently available to order.
