Janette Manrara apologizes on Morning Live for mistake

Janette Manrara apologized today to a Morning Live guest following a blunder with her baby monitor.

On Thursday’s (June 20) show, Janette looked mortified when her co-host Gethin Jones interrupted a chat after noticing the monitor going off.

Janette is a first-time mom to her adorable daughter Lyra, whom she has with husband Aljaz Skorjanec.

During a segment in which financial expert Laura Pomfret was discussing overdrafts, Gethin intervened as muffled sounds were heard.

He said, “Wait a minute, let’s turn off the baby monitor on Janette’s phone before we continue.” Stop trying to hide it.

Janette looked embarrassed as she put her hands around her face.

She said: “It’s because I opened the WhatsApp group!

Turning to Laura, Janette added, “I’m so sorry. »

Laura replied, “Is she okay?” to which Janette confirmed, “She’s fine, she’s fine.” »

Gethin then said, “Let’s do it again! »

Wait a minute, let’s turn off the baby monitor on Janette’s phone before we continue.

Former Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette and Aljaz became parents last July when they welcomed their daughter Lyra. Aljaz recently opened up about his parenthood and current life with a child.

The dancer has taken a step back from some professional commitments to become a stay-at-home dad while Janette continues her television jobs.

Recently, Aljaz opened up about the backlash he received following the family’s decision. Aljaz told Heat magazine of the backlash: “I’ve always been kind about not reading the comments. I feel like if you’re in the entertainment business, because of my talent, all of a sudden my personal life is there for everyone to judge or have an opinion.

“All I want to do is be a good father and a good husband, and that’s a priority for me and I’m going to do it the best way I can.”

Little Lyra will be one year old next month.
