After the millionaires were upset to learn they were no longer able to get at the wheel of their Porsche Carrera GT earlier this year, now it’s the billionaires’ turn to stay put for a while as Koenigsegg called it quits. order on its Jesko hypercar following a fire in Greece.

A Koenigsegg Jesko The “Nür Edition” attack reportedly caught fire this weekend in Greece, a country currently endure a scorching heatwave this saw temperatures reach 109 degrees. The car was destroyed, all that remained was a scorched chassis after the fire and a very unhappy (but unharmed) owner.

The fire clearly alarmed the Swedish car manufacturer behind the mega hypercar, as it has now issued a stop driving order affecting each of the Jeskos it has delivered so far, reports Autoblog. Fortunately, few drivers will be excluded by this order:

Although Jesko’s ownership group is extremely small, the automaker has issued a stop-driving order for all 28 units it has shipped. “Out of an abundance of caution, we ask all Jesko owners and drivers not to drive their cars until we have had the opportunity to better understand the situation,” the automaker said.

Koenigsegg does not know the cause of the fires, but passengers in the film car ran to safety. The Jesko’s purchase price exceeds even the most exclusive hypercars by a million dollars or more, so the loss of one is hard to swallow, even if you can’t afford one.

Before the fire, Jesko, who was set on fire, was taking part in a luxury rally around Greece, reports the reader. The relatively low speeds of these country road escapades, coupled with Jesko’s 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and temperatures above 100 degrees are a recipe for heat disaster. So far, no other Jesko owners have reported spontaneous combustion of their car.
