Aer Lingus reveals scale of flight cancellations

Aer Lingus has announced the first round of flight cancellations for next week.

Between 10 and 20 percent of Aer Lingus flights will be canceled during the first five days of the pilots’ strike.

A number of flights will be canceled from Wednesday June 26 to Sunday June 30 and full details will be announced over the next two days.

Anyone affected by the cancellations will be offered a number of choices.

Those due to travel between next Wednesday and July 2 will be able to change their flight for free, or cancel their flight and claim a refund or voucher.

Aer Lingus says the industrial action will have a significant impact on its flight schedules, but the company is working to minimize the impact on customers.
