Austrians plan to spend their vacation on their balcony

A recent market study by the online portal Willhaben shows that 85.9% of property seekers in Austria attach great importance to open spaces such as balconies, terraces or gardens.

The survey, carried out by Marketagent in March and April 2024, questioned 1,600 people aged 18 to 59 who have looked or are currently looking for real estate in the last six months. The results show that despite difficult market conditions, interest in open spaces remains intact.

Judith Kössner, head of real estate at Willhaben, confirms the current trend: “The demand for open spaces of all kinds has exploded during and after the pandemic.
