Xbox goes big while Sony and Nintendo stay silent at the world’s biggest gaming event – IGN Daily Fix

In today’s Daily Fix: Gamescom, the biggest gaming event in the world (think E3 but much bigger and in Germany), will feature the biggest Xbox booth ever. That’s impressive considering the other two major console makers won’t even be there, so they’re not really competing with anyone on their level. But it’s a win for the players who get to travel to Cologne, Germany, in August. Furthermore, Bluepoint Games insists that they are still working on the original IP. The Sony-owned studio is known for its next-gen ports like the PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls and the PS4 version of Shadow of the Colossus. This might be disappointing for some Bloodborne fans who were hoping Bluepoint was working on an improved version of that game. And speaking of soulslikes, a new Elden Ring patch is available for the base game, ahead of tomorrow’s release of the highly anticipated Shadow DLC of the Erdtree.
