Anurag Kashyap Recalls Being Shocked After Actor's Boss Once Demanded Rs. 2 Lakh For A Day

Anurag Kashyap is one of the acclaimed filmmakers of the Hindi film industry. Time and again, he has entertained the masses with some of the classic films. Anurag Kashyap reveals he was shocked when actor’s boss charged Rs. 2 million per day

In an interview with Janice Sequeira, Anurag Kashyap spoke about his experiences when he was shocked to see the huge demands placed on actors while shooting for a film. Talking about one such example of entourage fees, Anurag claimed that an actor’s boss once charged the producer a huge sum of Rs. 4,000.2 million per day. However, he was completely shocked when he discovered the small amount of food served to the actor in his set. Anurag said:

“The most ridiculous demand is that there is a chef who charges Rs. 1,000,000.2 lakh per day to prepare food that looks like… ye khana hai ya bird food. Itna chhota sa aata tha. Health problem ka tha thoda. Main Lord Yehi Khata Hu.

In the same conversation, Anurag mentioned that he would have been richer if he had become a hair and makeup artist, as they charge Rs. 75,000 per day. He also spoke about another incident where an actor requested that his driver be sent to a five-star hotel to get him a burger from a specific bun with non-vegan ingredients. Then the driver had to go to a remote location, which took three hours on one side of his journey. Narrating the same, Anurag mentioned that the burger would have gone cold by the time it reached the actor. Terming all these costs as completely unnecessary, Anurag shared:

“It’s the producers and their agents’ fault. I don’t know why producers allow it on their sets. This doesn’t happen on my sets.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui called it ‘paagalpan’ for celebrities who have high demands on the sets

Well, not only Anurag but many other actors, directors and producers have also spoken about the unnecessary demands made by many celebrities while shooting for a film. Among these, Nawazuddin Siddiqui also spoke about it in an interview with Hindustan Times. He spoke about the high demands of some actors, who like to travel with vanity vans. Calling them “paagal,” Nawazuddin said.

“Actors have a lot of unnecessary demands, they want everything to be lavish. I’ve even heard that some actors have five vanity vans: one for working out, one for cooking, one for eating, swimming, practicing lines, etc. Yeah paagalpan hai. Koi paagal hi hoga jo paanch vanity van leke chalta hai.

Sonam Bajwa revealed how she helps producers reduce production costs
