Brief Final Fantasy XVI PC Update Appears in Director’s Message

In honour of Final Fantasy XVI Turning one year old, Square Enix shared a message from lead director Hiroshi Takai, and it included a brief update to the PC version. Although there is no release date yet, he confirmed that they are all working hard on this version of the game.

THE Final Fantasy XVI The PC port first appeared in May 2023. At the time, producer Naoki Yoshida indicated that it was in development. At PAX West 2023, this was teased again. Most recently, in March 2024, Yoshida said the team plans to release a demo on PC, just like they did for the PS5 version.

However, apart from the confirmation, the team is working on the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI and wants to make the entry “available for play to as many people as possible”, Takai has not proposed any further updates to the platform.

Here is Takai’s full message for the first anniversary of this entry.

In addition to the message, a range of new products has recently appeared. Final Fantasy XVI The designs are part of the new t-shirt collection available at Uniqlo worldwide. There will also be a Form-ism figure representing Clive, Joshua, Jill and Torgal when they were all young.

Final Fantasy XVI is available on PlayStation 5. A PC version of the game is also in development, but there is no release window for it yet.
